YOUR CHILDHOOD

The end of the school year is getting closer and nowadays we are dealing with past tenses, so this is the reason why you are going to put in practice all you have learnt making a presentation about your childhood.

To make it properly, take into account these rules:

• Select pictures of you when you were a baby up to now.
• Use as many slides as you want but remember you only have three minutes for your whole presentation.
• Present your Powerpoint to the rest of the class and explain what you did in the pictures you have chosen. Your classmates can ask you some questions.

HOUSES

We are learning vocabulary related to the house and household items and how to describe a house, a flat, a room....

I have told you about famous homes: The White House, Bran Castle,10 Downing Street, Hogwarts, Buckingham Palace.....

I want you to write a blog entry describing your house or flat and your bedroom. Then browse the web and find a special or famous home and tells us about it.

Have a look at these different houses and buildings and we'll speak about them in class.

BASKETBALL RULES' VIDEO

This is a new project for you to learn several things:

1. You are going to learn (with your Art & Crafts teacher, Tomás ) how to edit a video.

2. Moreover, in PE lessons (with Raquel) you are going to know the most important and basic rules when you are practising BASKETBALL.

3. In your English lessons you are dealing with modal verbs. All of them should be put in practise when you design tour video displaying basketball rules that is, the things that you can do in a basketball match and the things you mustn't.

4. You will work in group of fives.

5.  In your video you should answer the following questions:

- What are the rules of the game?
- How many players are there?
- What equipment do you need?
- What can you do in the game?
- How do you win the game?

DO YOU LIKE SPORT?

 

Doctors recommend 60 minutes a day of physical activity for children and teenagers. How much exercise do you get?

I know that most of you practise sport and like watching it. We'll speak about this in class.

Jessica has explained the differences between American and European football and the rules, the numbers of players and the equipment of American football. This is the video we have seen in class and this is an example for the project you'll have to do.

Write an entry and tell me if you practise any sport or if you like or don't like watching sport. Write the name of a sportsman or sportswoman you admire.
